Help Pongo and his family pay their travel to UK!
Dear friends, after Pongo and his family managed with your help to raise money to pay their vet bill, now they booked 5 places for UK for the 11 of March. They have to pay their transport till the 5th of March. It costs 800 euro, 5 places for the 5 dogs family and we have so far 207 euro, so 593 are missing… It’ a lot of money and we have a deadline. It is very stressful and very pressuring to be forced to raise money in such a short period, but where Pongo, Ruscal, Cif, Pongo Sr. and Perdita, their mummy are now, it is a temporary solution. They can stay only for 2-3 weeks more there, so they were forced to book a transport quickly and now we are in this situation-we have to pay for it and make them arrive safe in UK. Story of the angels:
Pongo lost himself last week of his mummy and daddy and I heard him crying desperately of fear and hunger after several days being alone probably on the streets. From the first moment I heard him, it raised in my mind the thought and desire to help him and find a home for him, not knowing that time that he has a family not far away and soon they will be all together again. I made a video with him crying that night that I shared on Fb wanting to raise already awareness and finding help for him. He was very scared though and didn’t let me catch him right away. The next day I planned to catch him but he disappeared . I couldn’t find him anymore. But my video with him crying was already acting and someone offered a foster for him in Uk. For several days I looked for him on the streets, but couldn’t find him anywhere and I was sick of worry. I though he got killed or lost himself for good. In the end I did find not far away in a gipsy yard a puppy that looked exactly like him but more fatty and I knew it wasn’t him but most probable he lost himself from there. A gipsy woman confirmed me that they were two and one lost himself last week. Next day I came back to make a video at least with this one and here he was-the boy was back. He was dirty like having had a tough time in the last days but was happy to be together with his family. A big family-3 puppies and their mummy and daddy. I recognized the mummy and daddy walking often on the streets and looking for food. Many times I wished to do more for these two wonderful dogs, female and male, always together, inseparable, looking for food on the streets, often the female with milk in her breasts and trying to find food to feed her babies… And now I realized they came from this gipsy yard.. I posted all of them on Fb and the person that wanted previously to help Pongo, offered then help for the whole family, plus another dog that was in that yard to neuter him. Practically she made me start all the vet procedures for the sum of 455 euro but when the moment of payment came she said she can’t do it, because her paypal does not work at that moment. Other things followed and all ended with a confirmation that this person is not actually reliable and even if she pays in the end, there is the risk for these dogs to end up not well, because animals best interest is not her priority. I can’t let this to happen. I took a commitment with these dogs to offer them a better life and the most important is not the food, but the love. And it happenes that those gypsies even if they didn’t have money to feed them properly and they end up often on the streets to look for food, I know the did love them. And I can not offer them less. So, this agreement with this person that wanted to take them is off, but we did find another foster for them, always in UK. Now, after having raised the money to pay the vet bill, we have to raise other money to make them arrive to UK.
