Meet Lyric Banks, a dedicated High School Varsity Volleyball Player from Howard County, Maryland, with a dream of competing at the NCAA Division I or Division II collegiate level.
Lyric is a member of the Class of 2028 and a former JV Volleyball MVP. Last club season, she played for Maryland Juniors Volleyball Club (MDJRS) on its 16 Regional Black team, which proudly earned the overall Silver Medal at the CHRVA Non-Bid Regionals! 🥈
Her varsity coaches believe she has the potential to compete at the collegiate level and encourage her to continue developing her hitting power, vertical jump, and blocking skills.
For Lyric, volleyball is more than a sport. It’s something she genuinely loves. It brings her happiness, confidence, and a sense of purpose. Every practice and every game is another opportunity to improve and work toward her college dreams.
As her mother, I have done everything possible to support her passion. Last season, club volleyball cost approximately $5,000, with additional expenses for travel, hotels, and meals during tournaments.
Unfortunately, the cost of another competitive season is more than I can comfortably manage alone.
We’re asking our family, friends, and community to help Lyric continue pursuing her dream.
Our estimated fundraising goal is $7,000 for the 2026–2027 club volleyball season.
