My name is Alina, and I am a survivor of the war in Ukraine.

I am from Myrnohrad, a city in the Donetsk region of Ukraine. When the war reached my hometown, my life changed completely. I was forced to spend four months living under occupation, surrounded by fear, uncertainty and constant danger.

Eventually, I made the decision to try to escape and reach Ukrainian-controlled territory.

I survived.

But my family did not.

During our attempt to leave, my father, my mother and my brother were killed.

I lost my entire family in one moment. I lost my home, my safety, my loved ones and the life I had known.

I am still trying to understand how to live with this loss.

Today, I am in another city in Ukraine, completely alone. I am trying to rebuild my life from nothing. I work whenever I can, but my income is not enough to cover even the basic necessities of everyday life.

I struggle to pay for rent, food, transportation and other essential expenses. There is no family home I can return to and no family I can ask for help.

I am not asking for luxury or an easy life. I am asking for a chance to start again.

The money raised through this campaign will help me with basic living expenses, including safe housing, rent, food, transportation, clothing and other necessities while I work toward becoming financially stable and rebuilding my future.

After everything I have lost, I am simply trying to survive and create a safe, normal life again.
