It has been a little over a week since the catastrophic 7.4-magnitude earthquake tore through Colombia on Monday, August 10th, and we are still reeling from the sheer scale of the devastation. With over 300 lives lost and hundreds of thousands of people affected across the country, the heartbreak is unfathomable. While regions like Chocó, Cali and Caldas have been pushed to their absolute limits, this tragedy struck my own family directly in Pereira, Risaralda one of the hardest-hit cities, which has already mourned nearly a hundred souls.
 

Watching the community I love suffer so deeply is the exact reason I am launching this urgent lifeline. Every single penny raised will go directly toward purchasing bricks, cement, and roofing materials to rebuild the shattered sections of my mother’s home. We are quite literally trying to piece her life back together, brick by brick, and restore the sanctuary she lost.
