In Loving Memory of Mohsen Ahmadipour

Supporting Future Scholars at the University of Toronto

There are people whose presence leaves a lasting imprint — not only on those who knew them personally, but on the values and aspirations they inspire in others.

Mohsen Ahmadipour was one of those people.

Mohsen believed deeply in education, intellectual curiosity, and the power of scholarship to build bridges between cultures. His love for learning and his commitment to thoughtful dialogue reflected the very spirit of academic inquiry. He valued knowledge not only as a personal pursuit, but as a way to strengthen community and understanding.

To honor his memory in a way that reflects who he was, we are launching this fundraiser to establish an academic award in his name at the Elahé Omidyar Mir-Djalali Institute of Iranian Studies at the Department of Near and Middle Eastern Civilizations at the University of Toronto.

The Purpose of the Award

The goal of this initiative is to create an annual academic award that will support Iranian students pursuing their studies at the University of Toronto. Through this award, we hope to:

• Support talented and dedicated students

• Recognize academic excellence and commitment

• Keep Mohsen’s legacy alive through opportunity and learning

How the Funds Will Be Used

All funds raised through this campaign will be transferred directly to the University of Toronto to create the  Mohsen Ahmadipour Memorial Academic Award.

Our intention is to establish a sustainable award that can be granted on an annual basis. The larger the fund, the greater the long-term impact and the more students it can support over time.
