I hate asking for help but sometimes a person can't do anything else but ask for help. I'm very humble and appreciate any help. I also really appreciate those citizens who take a minute to say thank you. I thank them right back and feel a sense of pride and rekindles how glad I am to have had the honor of serving my country and doing my part in the big picture. I gave more than I knew.  I've been battling stage 4 colon cancer for 2 1/2 years already. Fighting the good fight. I'm just starting the last phase of my treatments in Little Rock, AR. Radiation therapy for a few weeks to help alleviate some of the pain and sickness I've been dealing with, then there's nothing more they can do. The VA reached out and told me I'm sick and dying as a direct result of what I was exposed to during deployment so I'm proud to know it's happening for a good reason. Democracy and safety from enemies on our own soil. I feel lucky to have essentially gave my life for my country. It wasn't instant,  so I had more time, but more time to feel it drag out being so sick and undergoing the harshest regimen of chemotherapy on the market. Every two weeks for 2 1/2 years. It's been hard, but at the end of available treatments and pretty broke, I could use a little extra help getting a hotel for my treatments.  When I finish, I'll do all I can to help others as much as I can until I'm gone.
