At five months old little Jameson was tossed out like trash. Found unconscious on the side of the road by animal control he was brought in. After observing several episodes of him passing out he was stuck in a dark room by himself until his stray hold was up and he could be euthanized. No diagnosis, just a death sentence because he was different.
We saw his story in the wee hours of the morning and knew he needed our help. He had one advocate that has been trying to save him and we reached out to her. By that weekend, Jameson was safe and the work to figure out what was going on with this puppy was just beginning.
From Dr. T, to cardiology, to neurology... Jameson had every test, wore heart monitors and had a slew of other tests suggested. Out neurology specialist was finally able to tentatively diagnose him and with his response to the medication he was diagnosed with #narcolepsy with cataplexy (lack of muscle control).
He has had a world created for him that is safe and secure. Jameson has been doing great considering how often he passes out, he's such a happy boy. His condition does cause him to become #jaws when his world is too wobbly, he will bite hard & often trying to steady himself. Due to this he will live his life in the safe & secure environment created for him.
Fast forward to Jameson at 2 years old. A lump was found just below his hock on his back leg. He was taken in to see Dr. T and had a biopsy. When the results came in we were shocked! Mast Cell cancer at just 2 years old, our hearts were crushed. Further heartbreak was knowing the location of his tumor was not great for good margins. Jameson did catch a small break when the ultrasound showed that the cancer hasn't spread yet.
This is when Dr. T told us about Dr. Sue the cancer doctor & Stelfonta. An injection that goes directly into the tumor, killing all the cancer cells in the tumor. After doing a lot of research and talking with Dr. Sue we have decided that this is really Jameson's only chance at a long life.
Our supporters have been so amazing to Jameson these past two years. We LOVE that you love him as much as we do. We are so grateful for your support that has gotten him to this point, alive & happy.
