Our brakes are in dire condition—they’re metal on metal—and we can’t drive the van until it’s fixed. We rely on this van for our work as DoorDash drivers, and without it, we have no way to make ends meet. We’re asking for $250 to help cover the cost of brake shoes (about $60) 🚗💥, rear brake caliper (about $78) 🚗💥, and any extra we might need for tools 🛠️, gas ⛽, or unexpected expenses that come up during the repairs.
Please help us get back on the road. Without your support, we can't provide for our family or keep up with our daily needs. This van is our only way to earn a living, and we need it to be safe again. Your contribution could be the lifeline we desperately need to get back to work and rebuild stability. Any amount, no matter how small, will help us regain stability and move past this incredibly tough situation.
Thank you for standing by us in our time of need. ❤️
Recently, our 2008 Dodge Caravan has become an unexpected burden. Right now, the brakes are in such bad condition that we can’t drive it at all, leaving us without a way to earn a living. We've had to deal with one problem after another since we bought it—power steering failures, sensor replacements, and now brake failures. We’ve even had to block the back brakes temporarily just to keep it from leaking entirely.
We are asking for your help to fix the brakes—specifically, replacing the brake shoes and the rear brake caliper. These repairs are critical for making the van safe to drive again. With $250, we can cover the cost of the parts, along with any unexpected expenses, tools, or gas required to complete the repairs.
If the van hadn’t turned into such a money pit, we would be back on our feet by now. We purchased it from A1A Auto, who assured us that it was reliable, but we now suspect they knew it was a piece of junk. We’ve paid for so-called repairs, even traded in our Trailblazer, but we’re still stuck without a reliable vehicle, and they’re threatening to repossess it. This has left us financially strained, unable to afford the next round of critical repairs.
Our van, which we have named Clementine Crusher (cause its orange and crushes our wallet) has been giving us all kinds of trouble. We’ve had to deal with a blown power steering pump, faulty sensors, and even brake failures—all right after buying the vehicle. It’s been an exhausting struggle, and we’ve spent hundreds of bucks and countless hours trying to fix it ourselves, all while juggling the stress of a mounting repair bill.
We purchased this van from A1A Auto, and it has been a nightmare from day one. If the van hadn’t turned into such a money pit, we would have been able to get on our feet by now, but we now suspect that Dave at A1A Auto is a con man and knew the van was a piece of junk to begin with. To make matters worse, they’re now attempting to repossess the van for the cost of those so-called repairs, despite us already paying significant amounts and trading in our previous vehicle to settle part of the debt.
We also discovered that the back brake caliper, which A1A Auto supposedly replaced, is now completely failed, and we’re stuck with metal-on-metal brakes, and we’ve temporarily blocked the back brakes with a screw. On top of that, we had to replace all the sensors on the passenger side due to a power steering leak that soaked the engine bay. The stress has been immense, but we’ve done everything we can to keep the van running, including replacing the throttle body, camshaft position sensor, MAP sensor, and crankshaft position sensor. Despite all of this work, the van still has its issues, and now we’re facing a situation where we can’t drive it at all because the brakes are too dangerous.
We’ve been trying to get by with what we have, but now we’re at a standstill. Every little bit helps—even a small donation will bring us closer to getting back on the road and back to work. We would be incredibly grateful for any support you can give. Thank you for helping us get through this tough time.
