This poor dog was found with a huge deep open wound on her back on the side of the road in rural Tennessee area. She looked helpless and as if she was about to pass out from the pain.

Immediately she was taken into the office for a check up and to determine what type of a treatment is needed. It was not completely clear what might have caused this scary wound, but it was definitely severe enough that she wouldn’t have made it if she was left alone for a little bit longer. The wound seemed very fresh and no serious infection has started to develop so that was the good news. The bad news is that is deep and painful and she needs to stay at the hospital until a certain level of healing is reached. She will be treated with a skin graft surgery. The quote of the treatment is $1000 if everything goes as planned and no infection occurs in the future. The prognosis is good and we are hoping for a full recovery. We are so grateful to anyone who can help Rumi (this is how we named her) and give her a chance to continue a normal life after this horrible tragedy.
