My name is Rob MacArthur. I am a Certified Missing Animal Response Technician in Ontario, Canada. For over 2 years now I have been helping find and retrieve there missing pets.
How would you like to be an Ontario Pet Detective Supporter? Through your donations, we can greatly increase the chances of bringing missing pets home.
To increase our chances in returning missing animals to their owners, keeping up on technology and tools is paramount. The quicker we can find the missing pet, the better chance we have of returning it home. Like missing persons, you have the best chance of returning a missing pet home in the first 48 hours.
If you have ever had a missing pet, you know the stress and worry. Pet's wandering around the streets are not strays. In most cases they are lost and looking to get home, with owners frantic to get them home as well.
By making a donation towards equipment or to the labour pool, you will be helping getting missing pets home. No matter what the amount, we greatly would appreciate it. For every donation you will receive a supporter certificate by e-mail. You will also get your name and city posted on our supporter page, if you want to. In addition, you can dedicate your donation to any of your past or present pets, including putting a picture of your pet on the site. We would also be happy to sign you up on our mailing list to be kept informed of our cases and other information. In making a donation, you can chose which fund the donation goes to. These include:
Labour Fund - Used to give free consulting and services to those that cannot afford it
Small Humane Traps - Used to safely capture smaller pets
Large Humane Traps - Used to safely capture larger pets
Endoscope - Used to look in walls, small spaces and under decks
Net Gun - Used to capture pets with a net
Animal Grasper - Used to safely capture small pets
Snare Pole - Used to safely capture and control pets
Parabolic Ear - Used to listen for sounds of pets in distress
Wireless Trail Camera - Used to transit pictures of missing pets to cellphone
Wireless Alarm - Used to alert you when a missing pet has entered an area you are monitoring
UAV - Unmanned Aerial Vehicle - Used to go over large land masses in a short period of time looking for missing pets using the High Definition Camera located on the UAV
Thermal Imager - Used to locate missing pets by their body heat
