Davina Roane hasn't added a story.
We relocated from the inner city to the suburbs last October......all of us have comfortably transitioned into our new locale except our playful fun loving pits Champ and Jazz. After two weeks of moving them to our new home, they broke through our new neighbors fence & yard (which was the same side area the previous residents kept their dogs) and were playfully roaming the neighborhood, animal control picked them up and off to doggie jail the go (1st offenders). They made bail, the fence was fixed, they were moved to a larger area of the backyard & a 6x6x10 chain link dog kennel was purchased from Home Depot! So all is good, right? Well for a short while ;-) They chewed through the chain-link kennel, yes that's right I said they chewed through the chain-link kennel....we attempted to repair it by wrapping chicken wire around the lower bottom (based on a recommendation from a dog breeder we met at a tractor supply store :-| But it didn't work. So we bit the bullet and purchase a welded galvanized metal AKC Kennel - - Yay!! Problem solved!! HA! My pooches are much to smart for their own good....while we were away at work, they mushed and pushed the new kennel, dug their way out by tunneling under the kennel, loosened two planks on the back fence....FREE to again playfully roam the neighborhood. I must mention both dogs have collars licensed & micro-chipped, but we didn't put the license tags on them because they slip out of the collars and trust me we've tried them all. The fence has been thoroughtly inspected and the nails replaced with screws. Because they are second offenders the fees are quite high. The fees go up even more if we're unable to raise the needed funds before 4pm because the shelter is closed on Sundays & Mondays. Your help is greatly appreciated! Thank you kindly!!
