The Phoenix Hackathon is an annual, student-led technology event at Rock Ridge High School that empowers high school students to explore software development, engineering, and real-world problem-solving. Each year, students dive into tools such as React, Next.js, Firebase, Supabase, Python, machine learning APIs, Git, GitHub, and Figma. Students are provided the opportunity to build full-stack applications and prototypes that often become standout pieces for college applications, portfolios, and internships.
This event gives students hands-on experience with modern technologies, teamwork, and innovation. Many participants discover new passions in STEM or gain the confidence to pursue future careers in tech.
