I have felt a calling to ministry since I was a little girl. I was raised in the catholic church, and I wanted to be a priest. But because I have XX chromosomes, that wasn't a possibility for me. My spirituality has grown and developed over time and I've found myself in an interfaith/interspiritual seminary program. I have a vision to build an inclusive spiritual community outside. Nature has been a healing and influential space for me as I've deconstructed and reconstructed my spirituality. I want to create an interfaith forest church in the beautiful outdoors of South Lake Tahoe so others who feel like spiritual misfits can find spiritual community and grow. 

I have completed one year of seminary with One Spirit Learning Alliance, and took a year off when my baby was born. I'm ready to begin my remaining year this fall. Tuition is $4,000 for the year. There is also an in-person intensive next June that is held in New York, so there are travel expenses as well. I plan to create different crafts throughout the year to sell to contribute toward my tuition and travel. I also wanted to create this fundraiser as a space for people who want to just give financially toward my seminary expenses. 

Every little bit helps. You're not just helping me, you're investing in the spiritual community I'll be forming. Losing one's spiritual community due to deconstructing is devastating. I lost my spiritual community when I became vocal about supporting the LGBTQ+ community and being anti-racist. I want to create a spiritual space where all are truly welcome and loved, and where people feel safe to be themselves.
