Jack has a goal to play volleyball in college, and he is on his way. Jack has already been on some visits and has had several coaches reach out to him. We have not picked a college yet. Jack playing in his final season of club volleyball will help expose Jack to more college coaches, along with honing his skill and getting him ready for the next level.
Jack is coming off last club season on a high note, finishing 3rd in the USA division at nationals and making the all tournament team. Last school season Jack was region player of the year for the second year in a row, and making 4A all conference first team. Jack was also named to the Az republic all arizona high school boys volleyball team.
I would love it if I did not have to ask for help, but I do! Playing on these club teams has become a necessity for athletes that want to play in college, whether I like that or not, it is true. And with playing on a club team the costs can add up quickly. For the season, we are trying to raise $3,500. All money raised will go towards Jack's club volleyball season. What does all that money go towards you ask? Here is the list:
uniforms
2 practices a week
gym time for those practices
coaches to run the practices
6 local tournaments
3-5 out of town tournaments including a week long tournament for Nationals
hotel / travel are not included in these costs
club season runs from now until the school season in the spring, then they take a break, and get back together after the school season and play until July.
