For those who are not aware, I’m in my Third year (Junior) of college at Loyola University New Orleans…which is nine hours away from Saint Louis.

Ever since I was in elementary school, I have had a desire to learn and engage with different cultures in addition to my own. This desire has fueled my drive to engage “culture” and establish a career using Spanish. 

To get deep in the trenches and to become exquisite in my field, my degree pushes me to study abroad. 

I have been intentional in honoring my parents, and Jesus with my obedience to them. I understand and respect my parents' support and sacrifices, thus I’ve worked hard to put myself in favorable positions for great opportunities. 

To put ‘Walk’ behind my ‘Talk,’ I have made the Dean’s List and I have maintained a GPA above 3.3 all 3 years at Loyola.

I am happy to say that God has blessed me with an amazing opportunity!

I will be attending the University of El Salvador in  the Capital of Argentina, Buenos Aires, from February 26th to July 15th. 

I am committed to making the most out of this opportunity by developing global competence for the world around me and enhancing my language skills and culture engagement. 

This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity will prepare me to work with people from not only different linguistic and cultural backgrounds, but it will also give me experience that not many will have in the corporate world. The skills I will learn abroad will launch me further towards my future ambitions to be an Interpreter for the United Nations. 

While also in Argentina, my heart is to be prepared to spread, speak, and interpret the Gospel as a bilingualist.

While GOD has blessed me with a scholarship (out of thousands of applicants) to study abroad, there are additional financial expenses for:

• Postage (USPS, UPS, FedEx)
• Safety Equipment
• Government Compliance Cost
• Registration Fees
• Toiletries
• Luggage
• Scholastic Books
• and sooo much more

With your financial help/gift, I would be able to enjoy and learn on this trip, without the constant thought of unforeseeable costs that might arise in a foreign country .
