Hey! I'm Brianna (the one on the
right of the photo)
My friend, Sophie, and I have been
fortunate enough to go through 2020 on the beautiful island of Oahu
where we work at a behavioral therapy center. Sophie is not only
part of my work bubble (limiting risk of infection), but is one of
the very few people in my personal bubble. She's been a constant
for me while my husband's and my reunion has been delayed for nearly
a year due to Covid, and she continues to provide so much joy, hope,
laughter, and comfort during a year that's produced quite a lot of
the opposite.
Since all of the things we are able to do
together right now to maintain our physical and mental health are
outdoor activities (walking, snorkeling, hiking) I've noticed that
her eyesight is absolute junk, and am hoping to raise enough to
support her in getting PRK to correct her vision so she no longer
has to worry about contacts when we're 30 feet below sea level,
clearing our snorkeling masks, and watching out for anything that
might find us to be a tasty treat...
Oahu is certainly not the
cheapest place to be, so I'm hoping to raise enough to at least
cover the majority of her surgery while I'm still here in our home
and can be her supplemental eyesight (such as drive her to work)
during her healing.
Everything raised here will be going
directly to her vision-correcting surgery; my goal is to raise
enough by late November that she can schedule for December since
she's also working hard to put herself through school (like, wow!!!)
to become a BCBA, and she'll have a break in classes during that
time.
I know this year has been rough sailing, so I truly am
grateful to any help you can provide in reaching this goal.
