My daughter, Kelly Baughman, has had a post it note in her car for the past three years that says "Be a Blessing" to remind herself that, wherever she goes, that is what she needs to do.  In her career as a pharmaceutical sales person, I know that she took that mantra to heart.  She had a dream 20 years ago to move out to the southwest and live "in the sunshine" and my brave girl made it come true.  She helped the homeless in that desert city, she made friends with some unlikely people, some very amazing people, and she loved that beautiful, clean, mountain air at Red Rock Canyon.  Here are some words from here sister (pictured with her above) ~ "Kelly is my best friend.  She loves music with her entire soul, she loves to read, she has the greatest laugh you will ever hear, and she believes in grace.  She helped pull me out of the hole of addiction when I was under the influence of/possessed by drugs and I never thought I would find my way out.  She told me constantly that she saw me "laughing in the sunshine again".  She was right.  Kelly held my hand while I clawed my way back to life.  Now it is time for me to help her do the same.  I've seen this illness take her life away.  I've seen the tears stream down her face as she loses the job she loves and has had to leave the city she calls home.  I helped her get rid of everything she owned to leave Las Vegas and come back home to Louisiana to heal.  But, she had to fight every step of the way - to find a doctor, a diagnosis, and now treatment.  I've watched her quickly disappear in front of me and it's frightening.  We want our "Golden Girl" as we call her, BACK.  She has given so much to our family, to other people over her lifetime.  Please, help us "Be a Blessing" to her and help her get through this fight for her life.  I believe that she will be "laughing in the sunshine" again.  And, that I will be there to see it.  She is my "Beautiful Girl". My Steel Magnolia, my SISTER." On behalf of our entire family we appreciate the outpouring of love, prayers, and support shown to us over the past few weeks and that is continuing to be shown as we go down this uncertain road.  This fund is solely to be used to help Kelly pay for her medical treatment and get back on her feet again.  She had to quit her job a year ago and her future is unsure at the moment.  Anything you can give is such a blessing.  On Kelly's behalf, we thank you.
