Hello everyone. I'm here to ask for help for my legal fees to defend against charges of trafficking marijuana in the state of Oklahoma. I was pulled over on my way back from California to Wisconsin with marijuana that I grew legally with my medicinal license in California. I was stopped by Oklahoma City police for "following a vehicle too closely", which is the main reason these police use to profile out of state drivers in the hopes of catching drug traffickers. I was immediately treated unlawfully and also was a witness to the tactics and lies used by the police to get what they want. Marijuana has been made legal in many states including our nations capital, but not the rest of the country. How can we be the United States, but not be united in our laws and allow separation from one state to the next? I reside in the state of Wisconsin, but because marijuana isn't legal here, I grow marijuana legally with my license in California. I've retained an attorney, but he's already proven to be a poor decision. I've already paid him $4500 for nothing and that's money I can't get back. The only thing he wants me to do is take a deal when there's facts that the police lied in their statements. I'm a single father of one beautiful 3 year old girl and I may not have been doing the best thing for her by driving my medical marijuana from California to Wisconsin, but the "war on drugs" has allowed for situations like mine to incarcerate people for a substance that's currently being made legal in many states and medically proven to help people with many medical issues. I'm not a perfect person and I've made my share of mistakes, but to sentence me to 4 years to life is extreme for a non-violent crime. I'm asking for your help to afford an attorney that's willing to fight to make sure I can be there for my daughter and provide her the life she deserves. We all know that lawyers are very expensive and this case is one that requires plenty of funds. Since this happened, I've lost my job and vehicle due to my incarceration. I'm currently in the process of selling everything I own of value in order to keep myself afloat. I've explored many options and it's seriously always been difficult to ever ask for any type of help and I'm hoping this avenue works better than others. Anything that you can do would be greatly and forever appreciated. Thank you in advance
