Our friend and Tavern Tan bandmate Doug Ashby recently had esophageal cancer surgery, and he and his family will be facing many challenges in the months ahead as Dougie is on the mend from this major medical event. As many who have gone through similar life-changing health episodes know, besides the daunting mountain of medical costs, paperwork, loss of work, etc., there is the simple day-to-day living expenses that can also burden a family during this stressful time. We'd like to at least chip away at those living expenses and help The Ashby Family out with a couple of fundraisers— Tavern Tan's BBQ Hootenanny at Godfrey Daniels on March 5th and a Doug Ashby Benefit show at The Funhouse on April 9th.
