The Who, What, Where, And Why.

My name is Cameron Farmer. In December 2014 I found myself evicted and became essentially homeless and living in my unregistered and uninsured old Tercel hatchback while traveling down here to Los Angeles to stay temporarily with a family friend of a friend until I could hook up with someone else. I was turned away last minute when I got here. I had even asked for a job transfer at that time, was given it, then that fell through. When it rains, it pours, right?

The only solace I had was a travel show project of spending one week with a social media contact (who becomes our "co-host") that I tried crowdfunding four times and failed. I am trying to raise $5,000 (now $2,000 after receiving word of a modeling company sponsoring $3,000 of my goal via my Co-Producer) to obtain equipment and an airline ticket (among other things) to reach Iligan City in The Philippines, my destination, to record two pilot episodes of this unique show using my own equipment; which isn't much but this production will be barebones, uninsured, uncensored, and doing guerrilla filmmaking. Risky? Sure. But this project is worth it. It's a show with a lot of heart. And a purpose: to forge new friendships and understanding.

This program seeks to help the people I visit. Think GlobeTrekker meets Extreme Makeover Home Edition and you'll get the idea. I just need $2,000 to get to Iligan City, record my visits, and possibly squeeze in a little special (on adult adoption) apart from the travel show.

What I need is simple: a round-trip airline ticket, a newer HD camcorder, Kodak EasyShare digital camera (lithium batteries and packs of 2Gb SD cards), a DVD recorder/player, and TV monitor (for editing). Apart from living in an RV I am trying to fix up for another travel reality show project based on my fiancee (RV Pinay In The USA) I have already constructed an Amazon Wish List so the items I need to purchase are there, along with gifts for my co-hosts (as well as a surprise gift for my camera person, and a future adopted daughter).

Backing this project automatically gives you a DVD of both episodes. That's a given. I will also include other perks when I have time to post updates and would like to get production started by 2018 if possible. Your help is invaluable to make this a successful campaign so I can help two people (possibly three!) fulfill some dreams.

I would dearly love to go during the off-season (cheaper fare) for 30 days total; that's the amount of time I can spend without a visa request. This is why I need your help as early as possible.
