Hello....a lover of sprouting, Terry....I have found that this copper lid serves the best option...allows water to come into the large hole & rince out the smaller holes...saving the seeds as they sprout....the copper is very effective in dealing with any & all bacteria....there are no limits to sprouting every kind & type of seeds....
