Cooper is a six-year-old Boxer with a tumor on his pituitary gland. He was recently abandoned by his owners and he needs our help.

Please, help us help Cooper!  This despondent 6-year-old neutered male boxer was surrendered to us early in February. His owners indicated they were moving to a smaller home and were unable to care for him any longer.

Upon arrival at New Rochelle Humane Society, it was clear that something was seriously wrong with Cooper. He was lethargic and sluggish; not how a healthy 6-year-old boxer ought to be acting. Our shelter Veterinarian performed extensive testing, but could not isolate what was ailing Cooper. After an MRI at Animal Specialty Center in Yonkers it was determined that Cooper had a tumor on his pituitary gland. Finally, we understood the cause of his distress!

Now we need to work to get Cooper healthy! We are thrilled to be partnering with Dr. Gerald Post at the Veterinary Cancer Center in Norwalk, CT www.theveterinarycancercenter.com, where Cooper will undergo a course of treatment to get him healthy again. But we need your help to fund Cooper’s treatment. With testing, medications, xrays, MRI and radiation therapy,we expect Cooper's expenses to top $7,500.

PLEASE, consider making a gift to give Cooper a second chance. Every dollar makes a difference to this pup who needs our help. Thank you for your consideration. Any questions, please contact New Rochelle Humane Society Director of Development, Adrienne Vogel at (914) 632-2925 or adrienne@newrochellehumanesociety.org
