As much as I have tried to avoid doing this I have had to finally break and do it. I am going thru a LOT of surgeries and multiple new specialists trying to get some sense of normalcy back in my life. I currently have 9 specialist, and still adding.
June of 24 I had outpatient colonoscopy and endoscopy, the Dr had to stretch my esophagus due to it collapsing. It took good initially but is now starting to reverse. I had multiple procedures at once 12/19/25. My plevic floor was gone. They did a hysterectomy, bladder sling, anterior and posterior repair and a bit more. Then an outpatient procedure in Feb. Outpaitent testing in April to determine what was needed for the upcoming July surgery. I have 2 MRI's set 7/7/25, 7/14/25 follow up on the MRI's. 7/15/25 I will have another major surgery, this one will be rectal, There will be multiple procedures addressing multiple problems during this surgery.
I have a 12 yr old son and a hubby I still gotta take care of to an extent!!! My kiddo can go to Gmas and spend a few weeks going to Six Flags and Hurricane Harbor with his cousins so he doesn't have to sit here thru me healing and recovering, but I have to come up with half the price of a season pass.
I have to pay co-pays for all these visits as well as gas, All my Dr's offices are at least an hour away. I live in a small town with not much choice of competent Dr's so I go to the big City to see a Dr. The hospital is as well, I will be there 2 nights when I have my surgery, I will be provided my meals but hubby won't. We will have to feed him, cover snacks and a soda for me. Plus parking is $10/day. I have to be on pain management till the surgery. It is quite expensive to maintain untill and then prep for surgery too. I have to buy some special after surgery care items for example a donut pillow to sit on, a body pillow to keep me propped right when I lay down, and a couple other things. Also have to pay bills that are in the red as well as health ins premium to be covered for my surgery in July. Hubby has had very little work due to the weather and we have been getting by by the skin on our teeth!!! We just need a bit of assistance to help thru this health repair/reset for me. I just want to be able to be there for my kiddo, be an active part of his life, not a grouchy, pain filled lump on the couch or bed.
