Sheila Annette Lewis is a 58-year-old woman living in Northern Alberta; she needs a living-saving organ transplant but was denied due to her refusing the COVID-19 vaccine. Sheila has been trying to tell her story for months and has been constantly shut down by the courts by only allowing her to tell very minimal details of her story and the struggles she has had to go through. She explains to Bridge City News that she has had two physicians tell her that getting the mRNA vaccine would cause harm to her other organs, and she would most likely not even make it to the operating table for her transplant. Sheila is not making any income due to her Long Term Disability or AISH not yet been approved; therefore, she is making no income.

We are genuinely relying on the kindness of Albertans and Canadians' generosity and hearts to help Sheila get through some financial stress barriers. If you cannot give financially, please consider contacting Premier Danielle Smith regarding overturning this horrible policy that all organ transplant recipients must be vaccinated with the COVID-19 vaccine to be eligible. Sadly, Shiela is not the only person in this situation, and if AHS and the Government of Alberta do not decide to overturn this policy, many innocent people will die. Receiving a COVID-19 vaccine is a personal choice, and no one should ever be punished for choosing not to take it. We first heard about Sheila's story on Bridge City News airing in Lethbridge. My husband and I both cried during her interview, and we felt we needed to do something to help. Sheila is not even 60 years old and has four sons and two grandchildren. She deserves to live her life to the fullest, as does every Canadian. Sadly, she estimates she only has six months to live without this transplant. It would mean a lot if you could help Sheila in any way.
