William Wusik Kalfelz hasn't added a story.
I started this project in 2021 and got the Editor working, now what's missing is the complete player. At first, I was going to make everything closed but if this funding goes well I will make both Editor and Sampler FREE and Open-Source.
For the current source-code for the editor, you can visit the following link. Where you will find complete information about the project too.

You can download the latest alpha version there too.

Created by William Kalfelz @ Wusik.com (c) 2022 Open-Source File Format Definition and Editor
NEW: preview is now partially working! Keep in mind that Wusik SPXe is the Editor, not the player. You can load .wspxe (project) files but not .wspx (exported) files.
Here you will find the definition of the format plus a full free open-source editor. There's no player yet, but soon there will be one soon. But you can preview your .wspxe files inside the editor. The player will not be open-source. You will need a license to be able to distribute your sounds with the player. Or, you can create your own player. The use of the file format is free and not tied to the player in any way. The editor doesn't feature sample manipulation. So you need to use something like Ocean Audio to edit and loop your sounds. https://www.ocenaudio.com/

Some background on my previous work: my first plugin (@ Wusik) was Wusik Station. A Wavesequencing and Rompler synth with great features. V1 was released on 2001 as Wusik debuted. Before that I worked on several plugins for DashSynthesis and DashSignature with Luigi Felici. As Wusik evolved I released multiple new versions of Wusik Station and also multiple other products such as Wusik 8008, Wusik One, Wusik DRS1, Wusik DLooper and more. Wusik Station is now at Version 10, called Wusik Station X. It's a complex product that does more than V1 did. The idea for Wusik Wave is to go back to the roots but also add a new twist on how we can create Wavesequences.
