Hi Everyone,
My Wife Eva was admitted into The Hospital due to serious complications from our pregnancy. A week into her stay she was diagnosed with Covid, I also contracted it. That day, because of a bacterial infection, she delivered our son Michael David via emergency C-Section. He was immediately rushed into the NICU, because of our Covid infection we could not see him for 10 days.
We also have 3 small children (5, 3 and 1 ½ years old) that we were forced to send with their Grandparents to another state while we recovered from Covid.
It has been a very challenging and difficult time for us. Our situation is compounded by the fact that we live in a new city and state with no immediate family. I am also in-between contracts (I work in IT) and because of my Wife’s medical care and our baby son being in the NICU it’s been a challenge finding a job that will accommodate our current situation that has been unraveling.
Seeking help like this is humbling and not something we expected to have to do but we are praying that by God’s Grace a lot of helping hands can help us mitigate the costs that seem to be piling up on us.
While in his nearly two month NICU stay Michael has dealt with a lot. Among other things he has had a serious bacterial infection, small hernia, breathing issues and anemia. He had to hit certain milestones in order to be released.
Thankfully, Michael is home now but continues to suffer from his hernia and digestive issues. Nights are very rough for him oftentimes.
We can really use everyone’s prayers, they really are The Best thing we can ask for.
