Joni Peterson hasn't added a story.
Shiloh Rose was rescued from living on a chain. She was severely underweight and the tops of her ears were gone from being bitten by flies. Shiloh was showing progress but 6 months later and she is still underweight. She was adopted and returned and after a visit with our vet today, she wants to do some testing on Shiloh as she is concerned of an underlying medical condition, but we need help covering this unexpected expense!
Any amount adds up and is greatly appreciated! The estimate is in the photos, but we were estimated $439. They want her to come in THIS THURSDAY for the day to complete testing and observation. The vet believes this needs to be done ASAP, but we cannot proceed without the funds to cover it.
This is same vet Shiloh seen upon intake, but a new vet clinic. The clinic hasn't gotten set up to take call in donations yet, but anyone is welcome to call and confirm!
Contributions can be sent through this Fundrazr, paypal (mercyrescuehaven@gmail.com) or on our website mercyrescuehaven.org.

Shiloh's original story-
Reason for rescue: Shiloh hasn't had a good start at life. She has been chained (no collar---just the chain around her neck which had caused hair loss) & was very skinny. The top of her ears are gone from being bitten by flies. Despite it all, she is very affectionate & friendly. We believe Shiloh was loved...at some point in her life. She has obviously been socialized & the other dogs they had weren't nearly as thin...but they were running free so they could find food if needed. What is so shocking to us is they were trying to sell Shiloh in this condition. When she was first brought to our attention, we offered to help if they were willing to surrender her to us. That was just based off the photos we seen, where she was chained and her water bowl was filthy. After a couple of weeks of nobody buying her, they said we could have her. The pictures didn't prepare for just how bad of shape she was in. When they told us we could have her, we wasted no time to commit & drive the 4 hour round-trip to get her.
Shiloh is thankfully heartworm negative!
