Thank you so much for your encouragement and support as I met one of the most important milestones of my life. So many have reached out to me to see how can they can celebrate this achievement with me and support me moving forward. So, I created and am sharing this opportunity to support me walking across the stage at my graduation ceremony on May 8, 2020!

• Graduation photos to share with my family and community

GRATITUDE to the Divine. The last decade has been a hell of a period of transition in my life!

Birthed my 2nd son. (2009)
Got married. (2009)
Got a master's degree. (2011)
Birthed my 3rd son. (2011)
Start a doctoral program at Vanderbilt. (2011)
Survived breast cancer (and a couple other diagnoses). (2012)
Purchased a home. (2012)
Got another damn master's (en route). (2014)
Almost lost, but sold home. (2015)
Separated. (2016)
Got put on a leave of absence from my graduate program by my department. (2016)
Lost my sissy to breast cancer. (2016)
Survived divorce. (2017)

...And on November 20, 2019 at 1pm inside the Peabody Library in a room filled with my colleagues, my friends and family, my Suns, my ancestors... ALL MY RELATIONS!

I defended my dissertation, passed, and earned my Ph.D. in Community Research and Action from the Department of Human and Organizational Development at Vanderbilt University!

There's a DOCTOR in the building, y'all!

As a first-generation college graduate and the first-ever PhD on either side of my family, please know how delighted I am to set a fire to and blaze this trail! A thousand of of my ancestors have walked a path of purpose, and I honored - in pursuit of my own wildest dreams - to be of service in this way to my lineage and my people of the past, present, and future.

I am filled with so much gratitude to the Great Divine and for each and every human spirit that has lifted and supported me along the way. So, so, so much gratitude, ya'll."
