Hi there, my name is Paul from XR North Cornwall and I am organising the UK section of the XR Earth March to the International Rebellion starting on 15th April.
The Earth March has been highly successful with 13 marches and over 1500 people participating.
Now we are turning our attention to the Extinction Rebellion itself: keeping it going right up to the point when the government agrees to our demands.

Have you heard of the XR Earth March on London?

XR, or Extinction Rebellion, is all about forcing our government to agree to our demands:

- tell the Truth about Climate Change.

- implement a program of wholesale change to become carbon neutral by 2025

- use People's Assemblies in setting policy to achieve that target

Remember, we are marching on London to demand a complete change of direction and we will stay in London for a whole week, mounting numerous demonstrations and protests right across the capital. And we shall be doing that in increasing numbers for as long as it takes. The change we want is absolutely necessary and simply has to be achieved.

Mass marches and non-violent direct actions have been used very successfully by various movements in the past and ours could provide just the type of build up that we will need to have a real impact.

We use this facebook group for planning, coordination, publicity, organising, support, documenting the movementand eventually to win a change of direction. https://www.facebook.com/groups/XRMarchForLife/

Currently, we have over 1800 participants and growing all the time ...

But, and this is where we need your help, we have costs which we hope you can help us with.

On some of the overnight stops, we get free accommodation on the floor of Quaker Meeting Houses, in parish halls, Scouts Huts or school sports halls. Some of the time we camp - which gets increasingly expensive as we approach London.
And sometimes we have to pay for bunkhouses or other cheap bulk overnight accommodation. And that really builds up.
Staying in London for the various planned demos now and in the future can be expensive. We will also need materials, banners, posters, leaflets, etc etc

Could you contribute £100? or £50? or even just £10?
Of course, if you are in a position to contribute a larger sum for this essential effort, that would help tremendously.

Also, please share this appeal as widely as you can.

Thank you and see you in London - this time or next!
We are expecting tens if not hundreds of thousands!
