Ádám Németh presents the most detailed interactive 3D
reconstruction of Ephesus.
The beginnings: My work on Ephesus started in 2016 for the book ‘La aventura de la arqueología’ by National Geographic. I’ve reconstructed 9 famous buildings in high detail including painted sculptures and architectural elements. I was working on it from time to time in my spare time.
About the project:
My goal is to create the most detailed 3D interactive
reconstruction of Ephesus during the reign of Hadrian. The
experience will be like going back in time and walk and look
around on the streets of this magnificent city. The application
offers audio guides, comparisons between the present and past,
building info, guided tours, highlights, useful information about
the monuments, and educational games.
I use archaeological research and state-of-the-art technology to
present this bustling city as authentically as possible.
Thanks to Trimble laser scanners and software, the
reconstruction is precise to the millimeter. More about our
collaboration. Initially the application would be available on
mobile and tablet, PC and VR versions will follow.

State of the project 2023 August: The Celsus library and plaza is 80% modeled, 50% imported to Unreal Engine. Other scenes are 60% modeled.
