Travis's story

I grew up in a small town without many friends or relatives in my neighborhood besides on an occasion, so with my free time at home, especially on a Saturday morning, I would play video games. Some of my fondest memories are of simpler times such as sitting in my bedroom, eating my mom's homemade breakfast such as pancakes, and playing games such as "Age of Empires", "RuneScape", or "Halo 2". In "RuneScape" you had a character that you could make stronger through training and defeating monsters, you could also trade items or earn virtual coins to spend for other items. I spent many hours trading this way, typing out messages for marketing to other players. By the time I was 13 years old I could effortlessly type over 100 words per minute and had learned the basic of business (buy low, sell higher, market to the right audience with appeal, ...). I met many online friends, my personal goal in RuneScape among other online multiplayer games was to be the "business" player, the one that had all of the cool and rare items as well as the most virtual currency. In my years of playing, I learned how many people are passionate about video games and I can relate this demographic, an audience of gamers, as I am a passionate gamer as well. More so than just video games, I got involved in music and film culture during and after High School, I became an active hip-hop listener, I follow the biggest and latest podcasts and websites about films, music, technology, and business. I also found interest and enjoyment in the nostalgia of franchise films and games, such as Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Jurassic Park, and previously mentioned video games.

Business Description

Soesic Clothing Co (LLC)was established to provide millennials with access to original artistic clothing. Soesic Clothing Co recognizes that the clothing industry today needs a slap in the face. Millennials are tired of dull and monotonous t-shirts that the current popular brands have to offer. As a result, we have made it our mission to only provide the "SICKEST" and most original clothing for individuals to express themselves through arts that they are passionate about (ex: video games, nostalgic films, and music). In our earliest stages, Soesic Clothing Co has already been able to sell and distribute over 150 products of clothing in a matter of months whilst just testing the water. Our organization operates out of a user interactive internet based platform where browsers can purchase crew neck t- shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, stickers, and various women's clothing. This also eliminates the cost of rent, on- site based utilities, and any self generated manufacturing costs. Our production and shipping work is subbed out to reliable third party vendors who then guarantee very timely distribution of our product, with our brand on the package shipping information and a quality guarantee. Soesic Clothing Co 's apparel is patently unique . This is largely in part because all of our designs and patterns are wholly original. Such designs are not provided or accessible to other apparel manufacturers for production.

What is the purpose of this campaign?

This campaign will allow Soesic Clothing Co (LLC) to purchase a bulk shipment of product materials, I project we will gross $25,000 revenue in our first calendar year (2019) in our absolute lowest estimate, while I believe that through studied methods we can hit our gross revenue goal of $100,000. After the purchase of the product materials, my next priority would be to fund marketing campaigns, then to hire more artists.

I have gathered adequate website data to find our key demographic, so I would be able to begin marketing accurately and swiftly. We have managed to gain sizeable organic growth on our social media. We have begun to invest into our own "Soesic eSports" organization since this will be both a big branding play for our clothing company (as they share audience, resources, and brand) and also a large growth potential for the business entity by itself as an eSports organization. According to Forbes, "[the eSports industry] 2018 revenues are projected to hit $905 million, a staggering 38% increase from 2017’s $655 million. Brand investment is expected to make a significant impact with an increase of 48% year-over-year." I have devoted my free time to working on this project which has become a fast-growing start-up business for many months and if I could receive this funding then I could further making my dreams into reality with the momentum we have gained from social media.
