Hi folks I know what your thinking not another online merchandise store, but yes it is,  not just any store its dedicated to Oakville its Oakville's own brand of merchandise promoting Oakville with souvenirs, apparel also to support local artisans. I believe if i do this in small steps it will help me achieve my goals and Oakville will have its first ecommerce gift shop.

About the existing group:

I am the proud owner of Oakville, Ontario first  Facebook Social group called "If You Grow Up In Oakville, Ontario You Remember....."  Established in 2011, the site is important to Oakville and its folks its in are DNA that we genuinely have a interest in what happened to our friends from the past. Their small town that they grew up in isn't so small anymore. Its rekindling lost family and friends sharing their memories.  I tell my members to look around for old pictures to share, the group is filled with Oakville's history and present. We currently have over 10,000 members and well over 30,000 members contact through the group without doing any advertising. My administrator that helped me with day to day task unfortunately pass away three years ago so this is dedicated to her.

About the new ecommerce gift shop:

My first step is to create a ecommerce gift shop store for Oakville, called The Oakville Group GiftShop, OGG The OGG Store is Oakville-themed retailer, specializing in home and office décor, jewelry, apparel, gifts and more! Our local products make great gifts for Oakvillian's who have moved all over the world whose hearts are still in Oakville. Our mission is to build the hype surrounding the great Town Of Oakville by building on our historic legacy and looking to the future. We will be supporting local artisans and small businesses, furthering our quest to make Oakville Canada's best place to live!
Our items will be custom and exclusive to our OGG brand and will be regularly adding new products, promoting Oakville and talking about Oakville. Also the same website/ecommerce will have a section promoting Oakville business. The same website/OGG will have a section selling promotional personal and business products. Greater Toronto area products will be sold as well. 

My Second step I have been told by many folks and my past administrator that I should turn the group into a book.  We have over 15,000 pictures of old and new Oakville, the pictures show the history and story of Oakville are amazing to see. There are a lot of then- and- now pictures that would make a great e-book or hard cover book, it would be nice to have the book for the 10 year anniversary of the group.

My Third step I have always been interested in inventors and inventions. Using my website/OGG will be linked to BBI Black Box Innovations, would like to sell the products from Dragons Den and modern inventions from around the world " Did you know there is a company out there that can send your DNA to outer space." This platform will help promote inventors from around the world, including Oakville inventors would have a avenue to promote and sell their products. I also have a few inventions that I need help with patrons and to fund them. 

This to me is the difficult part getting this going putting my thoughts into words its a long story, doing the physical work i have no problem with. I will be needing a lot of help and funding. I have been working on this for a few years now and been doing a lot of research just to get to this point.
