With heavy hearts, we must announce the passing of Maximilian “Max” Bemis on April 27, 2026, after a prolonged and incredibly challenging battle with a serious illness.
Max was the kind of person who left an indelible mark on everyone he encountered. A truly kind soul, genuine, welcoming, and overflowing with life. Max spent many years as a DJ, uniting people through the universal language of music and crafting unforgettable moments. More recently, his vibrant personality shone brightly as a bartender at Stereo Live Houston, where he created a warm atmosphere. At the end of each long shift, many of us were fortunate to partake in his signature creation, the “Max Special”, a small but cherished ritual that encapsulated his generosity and the care he extended to those around him.
He leaves behind his beloved wife and their precious 5-year-old son, who were his entire world. Max was a devoted husband and a proud, loving father who treasured every moment spent with his family. The void they are now facing is truly immeasurable.
In the midst of this staggering loss, we are reaching out for support to alleviate the financial burden on his family. Donations will be directed toward cremation and funeral expenditures, as well as providing stability for his wife and young son as they begin to navigate a life without him.
