The Legacy Façade Project™ — Milestones 1 & 2
Building No. 1 — A Building Created by Thousands. A Legacy Remembered Forever.
Executive Summary
Every city is filled with buildings. Few tell the story of the people who helped create them.
The Legacy Façade Project™ introduces a new vision for residential architecture: a building where the community behind its creation becomes part of the building itself.
Building No. 1 will be a 5-story residential project in Colombia designed to transform thousands of individual contributions into a permanent architectural masterpiece. Through an innovative sculptural façade and rooftop artwork, the names of supporters will become part of the building’s identity, creating a physical record of collective participation.
This is not a traditional fundraising campaign.
It is a new model of architectural participation.
Instead of a building representing only a developer, a corporation, or a single vision, this project celebrates the thousands of people who believed in it from the beginning.
Every engraved name represents a story. A person. A family. An organization. A community.
Together, those names become something greater than themselves: a landmark created by many.
The first building will establish the foundation for a long-term initiative: a growing collection of residential projects where communities participate not only in supporting construction, but in creating architecture that carries their memory forward.
The Legacy Façade Project™ transforms a contribution into a connection, a building into a story, and a group of supporters into a lasting part of the city they helped create.
The Concept
From Anonymous Buildings to Living Records of Participation.
Most residential buildings disappear into the urban landscape. They provide homes, but they rarely preserve the story of how they came to exist.
The Legacy Façade Project™ creates a different possibility. The façade becomes a permanent artistic composition containing the names of the people who helped make the project possible. The rooftop becomes another expression of collective participation, designed as an artwork visible from above.
Together, these elements transform the building into a landmark of community involvement.
The names are not simply added to the building.
They become part of its design.
A New Relationship Between People and Architecture
Traditional development follows a familiar pattern:
- Developers create.
- Architects design.
- Builders construct.
- Residents occupy.
The Legacy Façade Project™ creates an additional connection:
- People participate.
- Communities contribute.
- Architecture remembers.
Supporters become part of the origin story of the building.
Future residents become part of the completed community.
Professional teams transform the vision into a lasting structure.
Together, they create a building that represents collaboration between imagination, investment, craftsmanship, and community.
The Invitation
Every generation leaves something behind: some leave books; some leave works of art; some leave buildings.
The Legacy Façade Project™ offers people the opportunity to become part of a physical creation that can remain visible for decades to come.
A contribution becomes a name.
A name becomes part of architecture.
Architecture becomes part of history.
So, help create the first building. Become part of the story. Leave your legacy in architecture.
More details about The Legacy Façade Project™
The central idea of The Legacy Façade Project™ is simple: Supporters' names become part of the architectural artwork.
The primary façade will be designed as a sculptural concrete composition created by a professional artist and integrated into the building using specialized construction techniques.
The objective is not to create a traditional donor wall.
Instead, the façade itself becomes the artwork.
Names will be incorporated through:
- Sculptural relief techniques.
- Architectural typography.
- Variations in depth and texture.
- The interaction of light and shadow.
- Carefully planned artistic composition.
The names will not simply be displayed on the building.
They will become part of the building's identity.
The First Legacy Façade Project™
- Location: Barranquilla or Bogotá, Colombia.
- Project Type: 5-story residential building.
- Estimated Development Cost: Up to USD $5,000,000.
Building No. 1 represents the beginning of a long-term initiative.
The objective is not only to complete one successful residential project, but to establish a repeatable development model where future buildings can be created using the same principles:
- Community participation.
- Professional real estate development.
- Architectural creativity.
- Transparent project management.
- Permanent recognition of contributors.
Each future building will have its own identity, artwork, and community of supporters.
The Meaning of Participation
A supporter contribution represents participation in a cultural and architectural project.
By reserving an engraved recognition space, supporters receive:
- A permanent location within the building's artwork.
- A digital certificate identifying the location of their inscription.
- Access to project updates and milestones.
- Recognition as part of the founding community of The Legacy Façade Project™.
The contribution is a commemorative recognition opportunity.
It is not:
- Ownership of the building or land.
- Equity or shares in the project.
- A financial investment product.
- A right to rental income, dividends, or property appreciation.
- A right to occupy or purchase a residential unit.
The value of participation is symbolic, cultural, and historical: becoming part of a permanent architectural work.
The Beginning of a New Model
The Legacy Façade Project™ seeks to create a different relationship between people and the buildings around them.
Traditional development separates:
- The people who finance projects.
- The professionals who design them.
- The residents who occupy them.
- The communities affected by them.
This initiative creates a connection between these groups.
Supporters help establish the foundation.
Future residents complete the residential community.
Professional teams transform the vision into a finished building.
The completed architecture preserves the story of everyone who helped make it possible.
A building created by many.
A building remembered by many.
A building whose story becomes part of its façade.
Supporter Participation and Recognition System
The Legacy Façade Project™ allows individuals, families, organizations, and communities to become part of a permanent architectural artwork.
Supporters may reserve one or more engraved recognition spaces that will become part of the sculptural façade or rooftop artwork of Building No. 1.
Each engraved location represents a specific place within the completed artwork, creating a direct connection between the supporter and the building.
Engraved Recognition Spaces
The main façade will include approximately 200 square meters (2,150 square feet) of sculptural surface dedicated to supporter recognition.
The rooftop artwork will include an additional approximately 400 square meters (4,300 square feet) of artistic composition.
Each standard engraved recognition space will measure 10 cm × 75 cm, providing a total area of 750 cm² per unit.
The contribution for each standard engraved recognition space is USD $400 per unit .
Supporters may reserve multiple adjacent spaces to create larger inscriptions, including:
- Personal names.
- Family names.
- Organization names.
- Community names.
- Other approved forms of recognition.
To maintain the artistic integrity of the façade:
- Letter height will remain fixed at approximately 10 cm (4 inches).
- Only alphabetic characters are permitted.
- Emoticons, symbols, and decorative characters are not allowed.
- Up to 15 characters are allowed, including spaces.
- All inscriptions must follow the project's artistic guidelines.
The goal is to create a unified architectural composition where thousands of individual names contribute to one larger work of art.
Digital Certificate and Location Record
Every engraved space will have a unique location within the artwork.
After confirmation, supporters will receive a digital certificate identifying:
- Their reserved inscription.
- The location of their engraved space.
- The corresponding area within the façade or rooftop artwork.
This creates a permanent digital record connecting each supporter to their specific place within the building.
Selecting Your Location
Supporters will have the opportunity to choose their preferred engraved location through a digital selection platform.
The experience will be designed similarly to selecting a seat for an event or transportation reservation.
Supporters will be able to:
- View available recognition spaces.
- Explore locations within the artwork.
- Select preferred available positions.
- Reserve their chosen location.
Once a location is confirmed, it will become permanently unavailable to other supporters.
Priority Access for Early Supporters
Early supporters will receive priority access to the location-selection process.
The selection process will occur in phases:
- Founding Supporters: The earliest participants will receive first access to available locations.
- Subsequent Supporters: After the initial phase, access will be provided according to the chronological order in which reservations are completed.
This approach recognizes early participation while maintaining a fair and transparent system for all supporters.
Inscription Guidelines
The purpose of The Legacy Façade Project™ is to celebrate individuals, families, organizations, and communities through architecture.
To protect the artistic quality and public character of the building, every proposed inscription will undergo review before approval.
Approved inscriptions must be consistent with the project's values and applicable laws.
Inscription requests may be rejected if they include content that is:
- Offensive, abusive, or defamatory.
- Hateful, discriminatory, or promoting violence.
- Obscene, sexually explicit, or profane.
- Intended to threaten, intimidate, or harm others.
- Associated with criminal organizations or unlawful activities.
- Misleading or falsely implying official endorsement.
- Inconsistent with legal requirements or the artistic purpose of the project.
When possible, supporters whose requested inscription cannot be approved will have the opportunity to submit an alternative inscription while maintaining their reserved recognition space.
The objective is not to limit creativity, but to ensure that the completed building remains a welcoming and meaningful architectural work.
To make participation accessible, supporters may reserve engraved spaces through either of the following options:
- Option 1 — Full Contribution: A one-time payment of USD $400 for one engraved recognition unit.
- Option 2 — Flexible Contribution Plan: A total contribution of USD $400 for one engraved recognition unit, payable in installments, with the full amount completed no later than September 25, 2026.
Supporters may reserve multiple spaces according to their interests and availability.
Multiple reserved spaces may allow for larger inscriptions, subject to design requirements and approval.
Project Financing Strategy and Development Model
This is a Community-Funded Path to Construction.
The Legacy Façade Project™ combines community participation with a traditional residential development model.
The objective is to create a financially responsible pathway from initial concept to completed construction by combining two complementary sources of funding:
- Community Supporters.
- Future Residential Buyers.
Together, these groups provide the foundation for developing Building No. 1.
Estimated Development Cost
The estimated total development cost for Building No. 1 is:
Up to USD $5,000,000.
The final budget will depend on several factors, including:
- Location and land acquisition costs.
- Architectural design requirements.
- Engineering requirements.
- Construction costs.
- Material pricing.
- Regulatory requirements.
- Market conditions.
The project will be developed through clearly defined milestones to reduce risk and ensure responsible execution.
Phase 1 — Community Supporters
The first funding objective is to raise approximately:
Up to USD $2,000,000.
That is, approximately 40% of the estimated project cost; achievable through the participation of up to 5,000 supporters, each contributing USD $400.
This initial capital will establish the foundation required to move the project from concept to an approved and buildable development.
Funds from this phase will support:
- Land acquisition.
- Architectural design.
- Structural engineering.
- Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineering.
- Construction permits and approvals.
- Legal and technical development requirements.
Completing this phase creates the essential foundation for construction.
At this stage, the project will have:
- A secured development location.
- Completed professional design documentation.
- Required engineering studies.
- Regulatory approvals.
- A structured pathway toward construction.
Supporters participating in this phase become the founding community behind Building No. 1.
Phase 2 — Future Residential Buyers
The remaining estimated project cost:
Up to USD $3,000,000.
That is, approximately 60% of the estimated project cost is expected to be supported through the sale of residential units within Building No. 1.
Future residents will become an essential part of the project's completion by purchasing apartments and contributing to the final construction financing structure.
This creates a partnership between two communities:
- Founding Supporters: The individuals and organizations who help establish the project from the beginning.
- Future Residents: The homeowners who become part of the completed residential community.
Together, these groups transform the project from an idea into a finished building.

Architectural Influences Behind Building No. 1
Building No. 1 will draw inspiration from two architectural traditions:
Brutalism — Material, Strength, and Permanence
From Brutalist architecture, the project will take inspiration from:
- Expressive concrete forms.
- Honest use of materials.
- Strong geometric compositions.
- Monumental architectural presence.
Concrete becomes both a structural material and an artistic medium, allowing supporter recognition to become integrated into the physical identity of the building.
Modernism — Function, Light, and Simplicity
From Modernist principles, the project will incorporate:
- Efficient residential planning.
- Clean architectural lines.
- Natural lighting.
- Ventilation strategies.
- Functional living spaces.
The objective is to create homes that are comfortable, practical, and timeless.
The Façade as a Work of Art
The sculptural façade will be designed as a carefully composed architectural artwork.
The integration of names may incorporate:
- Sculptural relief techniques.
- Architectural typography.
- Changes in depth and texture.
- Light and shadow interaction.
- Material treatments that enhance the character of concrete.
The names will become part of the building's visual language.
From close distance, visitors may discover individual stories.
From a distance, the façade will be experienced as a unified artistic composition.
In fact, the façade will be designed to interact with natural conditions over time.
Throughout the day:
- Sunlight may create changing shadows across the engraved names.
- Different angles of light may reveal new details.
- Evening illumination may highlight elements of the artwork.
As years pass, the materials of the building will develop their own character, allowing the architecture to reflect the passage of time.
The building becomes not only a completed project, but an evolving part of the city.
The Rooftop Artwork
The architectural experience continues above street level.
The approximately 400 m² rooftop surface will be designed as a complementary artwork incorporating supporter recognition spaces and geometric compositions.
The intention is to create a design that can be appreciated:
- From surrounding viewpoints.
- Through aerial photography.
- Where possible, through available satellite imagery.
The rooftop creates another perspective of the collective contribution behind the building.
Project Transparency and Communication
Transparency is a central principle of The Legacy Façade Project™.
As milestones are achieved, supporters will receive updates regarding:
- Fundraising progress.
- Architectural development.
- Engineering milestones.

Because of these factors, no specific completion date can be guaranteed until the required milestones have been successfully achieved.
The project team is committed to communicating openly regarding:
- Progress.
- Challenges.
- Adjustments.
- Updated timelines.
- Strategic decisions.
The goal is to combine ambition with responsible project management.
Governance, Fiduciary Structure, and Professional Management
The Legacy Façade Project™ combines an innovative community participation model with established real estate development practices.
To support transparency, accountability, and responsible management, the project intends to establish a Colombian real estate fiduciary trust structure (fiducia inmobiliaria) with an experienced fiduciary partner before significant project execution begins.
This structure is designed to provide professional administration of project resources and create a clear framework for managing contributions, contracts, milestones, and development activities.
The Role of the Fiduciary Structure
A real estate fiduciary trust provides an additional layer of organization and oversight by establishing professional procedures for the administration of project resources.
The intended objectives are:
- Professional management of project funds.
- Clear separation and tracking of project resources.
- Defined responsibilities among participants.
- Documentation of agreements and obligations.
- Monitoring of development milestones.
- Increased confidence for supporters, future residents, contractors, and partners.
The fiduciary framework will serve as the administrative foundation through which the project is developed according to the approved plan and applicable Colombian regulations.
Selection of Fiduciary Partner
The selected fiduciary partner will be evaluated based on:
- Experience managing real estate developments.
- Institutional reputation.
- Financial strength.
- Technology and reporting capabilities.
- Transparency practices.
- Experience with large-scale residential projects.
Potential fiduciary institutions under consideration may include:
- Banco de Bogotá fiduciary services.
- Bancolombia fiduciary services.
- Alianza Fiduciaria.
The final selection will be based on the structure that best supports the interests of:
- Supporters.
- Future apartment buyers.
- Contractors.
- Professional teams.
- Other project participants.
Transparency and Accountability
Transparency is one of the fundamental principles of The Legacy Façade Project™.
Supporters and project participants will receive regular information regarding the project's progress, including:
- Fundraising milestones.
- Development progress.
- Architectural milestones.
- Engineering progress.
- Construction preparation.
- Major project decisions.
- General financial reporting information.
The exact reporting structure will be defined with the selected fiduciary partner and project professionals.
The goal is to create a clear connection between every contribution received and the responsible development of the project.
The Legacy Façade Project™ — A Long-Term Vision
Building No. 1 is the beginning of a larger initiative.
The long-term objective is to create a collection of residential buildings where communities participate in architecture through recognition, creativity, and shared ownership of the story—not ownership of the property itself.

Building No. 2.
Building No. 3.
Building No. 4.
And beyond.
Each future building will feature:
- A unique architectural identity.
- A sculptural recognition façade.
- A distinctive rooftop artwork.
- A permanent digital registry of contributors.
- A new community connected to its creation.
Over time, these buildings can form a network of community-supported architecture.
