Pamela Ballin hasn't added a story.
On July 17, 2014, Pamela Ballin was wrongfully convicted of malice murder. DeKalb County Police alleged that Mrs. Ballin faked a home invasion and killed her husband of 25+ years. After being convicted, the presiding judge questioned the fairness of the trial, admitted to foul play of DeKalb County detectives, only to turn around and convict her. She was convicted despite the absence of any DNA or physical evidence to link her to the alleged crime. I am a close family member of Pamela Ballin and would like to bring awareness to her wrongful conviction and raise funds for her upcoming retrial.
There are many troublesome FACTS about the investigation, but I
will just name a few:
1. No Evidence: Derrick Ballin Sr. was bludgeoned to death had been struck at least a dozen times with a heavy object. The forensic specialist for the prosecution contended that the killer would have been saturated with blood, yet there was not a drop of blood found on Pamela Ballin. The medical examiner also concluded that due to the locations of the wounds, there must have been multiple attackers. The detectives/medical experts also mishandled evidence by losing a vial of "tested" blood; and did not test any blood found during the investigation. There was also a footprint found inside the house that was never investigated and was determined not belong to Mrs. or Mr. Ballin. The police also did not follow up on other leads given to them weeks after the incident.
2. No Motive: Dekalb County detectives stated that Pamela Ballin increased her husband’s life insurance policy to $750,000, however their insurance agent, testified that Derrick Ballin requested the increase.
3. Misleading Evidence: The detectives were caught in deceptive and untruthful testimony during the trial. What was even more troublesome about the cases was that the lead crime scene investigator ignored a court order to be available to be called to testify by the defense, and choose to go on vacation. This is just another example of the corruption that continues to plague Dekalb County.
4. Judicial Mistakes: Judge Anthony Scott made many mistakes during the trial including reversing his decision after negative media attention.
We know that Pamela Ballin did not commit this heinous crime she has been convicted of. She is a loving grandmother, mother, daughter, sister and friend to many. We are raising funds for her retrial. As of today, over $160,000 has been spent on her legal fees. Any amount donated will be appreciated. Please pass this along to your family and friends.
With Kind Regards,
