Ali Mian is a down-to-earth, respectful, and very hard-working 23-year-old man from Milton Ontario. Ali is very well known around his neighborhood, different communities, and friends/Family as a person who has always stood out in the most positive ways. Ali is known to help anyone without a doubt and always has the time and effort to put other people before himself. Ali's father passed away in 2010 due to health complications, and it had just been his mom and grandmother who raised him since he was 10. They have always stayed resilient and stuck together no matter the situation and circumstance. Ali is an only child and has no immediate family in Canada besides his mother, grandmother and uncle's family. He is a post-secondary student, studying behavioral science and psychology and on his way to earn his PHD. Ali is dedicated to becoming a clinical psychologist in the near future and plans on starting a non-profit organizations that works with orphans, people affected by mental health, and the less fortunate. Ali is also a legal RPAL/PAL holder In Canada.

On February 19th, around 5:am Alis house was senselessly broken into by 5 armed intruders with illegal firearms. Ali's Mother was mercilessly attacked and held hostage in her own home, a place where they should always feel safe, Ali’s Mother received painful injuries on her face by the armed home invaders who had absolutely no remorse or shame in their actions.  Ali saved his mother's life from home invaders who held her hostage and assaulted her leaving horrendous injuries and life long trauma. No son, daughter, Father or person who values family would ever leave their mother or loved ones like this, without taking any action. Ali clearly acted in self-defence as a last resort to make sure his family and himself can live another day. the evidence and scenario  speaks for itself in volumes, Ali saved the lives of his mother,  grandmother and himself heroically. 

As a result, Ali was charged and held in custody for 12 days until he was granted bail in the amount of $130,000 which was unfair, unjust and cruel. While Ali's family is forever thankful that Ali was released, their story is far from over. It completely shocks my mind that Ali had to spend his 23rd birthday in custody and go through all the psychological torture and trauma of forcibly getting ripped away from his family for risking his own life against 5 armed home invaders and saving his family’s lives.

With very serious news/social media attention and nightmare like trauma, Ali and his mother are facing extreme difficulties going back to work. They are very limited to their daily activities as they are traumatized by the events that took place and are no longer available to live or stay in their beautiful house they built and have so many memories in. With expensive unplanned fees and living expenses, we are asking for our community’s to come together and help support Ali Mian and his mother during a very difficult time. Donations will be used to help pay for fees and unplanned living expenses. 

 

Ali and his family are very thankful for everyone's overwhelming help and support. We hope we can all come together as communities, groups and most importantly Canadians for Ali Mian and his family.
