Creed Zeppelin, our 7 month old Rottweiler, is in need of quick funding for his veterinarian care.
My 4 children and I got Creed in June of 2024 to be our guard dog and our protector for ourselves and our home. We knew we needed a big, handsome, sweet, yet intimidating soldier to protect us in any situation of harm. Aside from that, I needed Creed as my emotional support dog as I was going through a domestic violence marriage, which I am now a survivor of
One evening, our sweet lazy boy was sliding off of the couch to get down, and his toe nail was snagged in the stuffing on the couch cushions. He cried and yelped due to him pulling his entire hip/leg out of place. During this time of the year, I was filing for protection orders, fleeing the state, and doing everything I could to keep me, my kids and my animals safe. It made it to where I did not have the time or the funding to help Creed.
Creed is suffering very badly at this time. I took him to the Vet on 12/20/2024. The Veterinarian prescribed him pain medicine and inflammation medicine to help with his injury. An X-ray, at the cost of $500.00, is needed for Creed, so we can pinpoint what is actually going on. It is believed that not only is it his hip and leg, but his elbow as well. Creed cries all day and all night. He struggles to stand up from laying down, he is very hesitant when going to sit. He can no longer go up and down the steps without the help of myself. The leg is now starting to turn outward which is now making it to where he can no longer stand on that leg. He cries when watching his two Pomeranian brothers run free in the yard as he wants to play and run with them. Following the X-Ray will come surgery. It has not been easy affording his medicine with no type of care credit card or pet insurance while starting from scratch in life while being a single mother of 4. I can tell he is ashamed that he can no longer give paw, high fives, jump up to give hugs, and roll over. Creed was and is very proud of his intelligence and he loves pleasing his mommy and his siblings. We want and need nothing more than our big 82 pound baby better and ready to thrive again!
I would also like to add that the vet said in no way shape or form am
I neglecting him. I have brought him to his appointments, I have him
on medication, and I do everything I can to comfort him. She said I’m
just in a tough situation as far as money, just as most people are
right now in the world.
If I can’t find a way to get his medical
needs taken care of, then I will be putting him down. I will not break
his heart by getting rid of him as Rottweilers are attached to their
humans. I’m looking at his best interest, not mine and not others.
