On Monday, March 14th, Soni Anderson suffered a major stroke that damaged or destroyed a large part of the right side of her brain. The left side of her body is paralyzed, the right side of her face is droopy, and she can only speak a few words. But her mind is still there!

She is in the hospital and, once she gets past this immediate crisis, we are facing months and months of intensive therapies to try to get her voice and face back and the prognosis for that is good. We will have to  see what kind of mobility might be possible, and that's going to be tougher. But Soni is lucid and strong, and is a fighter. She won't give up.

These treatments are expensive and she/we have no money or insurance to cover those treatments or the eventual evac to the US. We  While she will get Medicare in a few months, she is facing hundreds of thousands of dollars of medical costs to get to that point. Without rapid treatment she has no chance of recovery at all.

Many of you know Soni and have taken classes with her. You know the love she has brought for over 20 years to all her students, classes and clients. She has given her life's work to help all of us make our lives better, fuller and healthier.

She needs your help now. She needs your love, your prayers, your thoughts, and your energies to help her heal. And she needs your financial help.

A year ago she and David returned to her birthplace in Fiji and moved into their dream retirement home. She decorated, planted hundreds of flowers and vegetables, and was beginning to teach yoga and build a small yoga community here. She was loving her life every day here and excited about the possibilities for the future. You can help give her a new future.
