Hello, I'm Bill and I’m a longtime friend of Kimberly. She’s an orphan, and over the years I’ve become family to her as a surrogate dad. It has been a joy to encourage her and watch her begin to blossom with the love and support we all need to thrive.

This is a critical moment. She has been experiencing recurrent, increasingly serious nosebleeds. Her last episode caused swelling around both eyes, blurry vision, numbness in her hands, and difficulty holding objects. Her medical situation is serious: if the tooth erupts into her sinus, she could die.

An unexpected move in 2025 forced her to pause planned care. Now she has regained enough strength to advocate for herself, and she needs to return to Salt Lake City to see one of the surgeons who evaluated her in late 2024. On November 5, 2026, she is scheduled for comparative imaging and a discussion about safely addressing the jawbone infection and the tooth migrating into her sinus.

We need to raise $1,500 as soon as possible for this trip:

• $500 for travel, including gas and food
• $1,000 for professional fees: in-depth dental analysis, cone-beam CT, dental cleaning, and a pre-surgical consultation

This is the first step in a medical journey lasting up to two years. She is UNINSURED for most of the care she needs. Any funds raised beyond the immediate goal will go toward future medical needs, especially hyperbaric oxygen and orthodontic services.

The immediate goal does not include lodging. She plans to sleep in her car to keep costs down. She is not feeling strong enough for an 18-hour drive, so taking the train and finding a place to stay would be a much better option. She thinks this might be her last Christmas. Let’s help her get the care she needs, give her hope, and show her that she has a chance to overcome this.
