Jennifer McInnis and her family have lost everything in a devastating house fire. Waking up to a smell and no smoke in the house.. While searching for what the smell was they noticed the kitchen window engulfed in flames from the outside ..minutes later the roof had caved in.. While material possessions can be replaced, we are incredibly grateful that Jennifer and her boyfriend were able to get the children out alive, as well as Max, one of the cats. Ruby ran and hid and had to be rescued by firemen as soon as they were able.
Jennifer is a devoted mother of six beautiful children and is also expecting another baby this December. She has dedicated her life to creating a loving, safe, and happy home where her children could grow, laugh, and make memories together. In a matter of moments, that home—and everything inside it—was gone.
Among the many heartbreaking losses was Ruby, one of their two family cats, that was rescued from the burning house but passed away a few days later due to smoke inhalation;
a specialized safety bed for her son, Abel, who is autistic. This fully enclosed bed, designed with padded walls to keep him safe at night, took a long time to obtain and cannot be easily replaced. Sadly, it is only one of many essential items the family has lost.
Because there was no insurance, Jennifer and her family are starting over with nothing. Right now, The Red Cross has been helping with temporary accommodations, but that support will soon come to an end, leaving Jennifer with very little time to find a safe place for her family.
If you know Jennifer, you know she is one of the kindest, most selfless people you could ever meet. She has always put her children first and has never been the type of person to want to ask for help. That's why I'm asking on her behalf.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help Jennifer rebuild her life. Funds will go toward securing housing, paying rent, replacing furniture, clothing, household essentials, her & her children's belongings, food, and the many necessities that were lost in the fire—including replacing specialized equipment for Abel.
If you're unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser with your family, friends, and community. Every share brings Jennifer one step closer to giving her children a safe place to call home again.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support during this incredibly difficult time. Together, we can help Jennifer and her children begin a new chapter filled with hope, stability, and love.
