The purpose of this fundraiser is to help a member of our community, Dalonte Johnson, pay for the medical bills that resulted from an accident that caused one of his legs to be amputated below the knee. 100% of the proceeds from donations and perks will go to benefit Dalonte.
A little about Dalonte, from his friend Taylor:
"Dalonte is one of the most genuine people I've ever met. No matter what happens, he’s the guy who always has a smile on his face. I’ve never met anyone else like him. Dalonte was hit by a car while he was pushing his car off the road. He’s lucky to be alive and he actually almost lost both legs. The doctors were able to save one, but in the end they were left with no choice but to amputate his left leg below the knee. 2 months after the accident, he was raging his face off at the rail for Excision’s tour...on one leg!! Dreadlocks flying in every direction. He didn’t even have his prosthetic yet. Dalonte loves people and he loves life. Any time I start feeling sorry for myself and whatever bad luck I might be having, I think about him. Nothing ever slows him down, or kills his vibe. He stays happy, and we all need to do the same. Each and every day. His hospital bills currently total at around a quarter of a million dollars...however, he only owes another $1100 on his prosthetic!"
