Day one of the Bringing Mom home campaign. Yesterday I actually went inside the house. She hasn't been home since February. I don't think another living soul has been inside the house since then either. Except of course the spiders. They certainly have made themselves quite at home. Yep. We can't have that. There are not many things that I can't get along with, but spiders... especially that many of them are definitely on that list. 

Day 2: make a checklist. Buy bug spray. 

Make a fundraiser, bc babyyyyyyy.... I have got my work cut out for me. Lord God, please send me the people you want helping me on this. Thank you.

I know I have a giant undertaking here, but it is going to be worth it. This woman is elderly and sitting in a nursing home missing her home, and her sons. One son is severely Autistic and is in an assisted living facility, so she doesn't get to see him. Her other son is in prison unjustly, and she doesn't get to go see him. She cannot live alone anymore, and she cannot drive anymore. Hurricane Helene damaged the roof on her house, and there is damage throughout simply bc she is too frail to have kept up with it. There's no other family here to speak of that could have been helpful to her. My heart shattered for her when I saw the place yesterday. I was angry and heartbroken. Noone, especially an elderly woman who has given her life to raising her family and an Autistic child with zero help from the government (they didn't have programs for us neurodivergent people as kids), should have been in that situation. 

Well, NOW, I am here. I intend fully on getting her house in order and bringing her home from that nursing home by Mother's day next year. Sooner if I can get it done. I am determined that she has a nice home to be in. To have her golden days as comfortable and filled with joy as I can give her. 

But, I need your help. As I said above, her sons are both not home due to extenuating circumstances. The oldest is a Veteran. He is a good man. I have known him all my life. 

He has asked me to make this happen for his mom. She is losing her memory and it is extremely important that she can be home with someone who can look after her and keep her safe. 

DAY IDK: I have lost count in this adventure. It has surely been busy. I've had lots of people in and out, coming and going, advising and estimating. My gosh. All I know is that when God makes mountains move, they move. Idk how this is all getting done, but it's slowly starting to take shape. I don't even have a slight doubt of knowing that this is exactly what I'm supposed to be doing. I have never felt so peaceful. Exhausted, but peaceful. 

I am honored and humbled and I am going to do everything in my power to make it happen.
