This year, we're going bigger and better than last year - our mobile party cart has evolved to a mini party room!
What is Badge Ribbon Gacha?
Badge Ribbon Gacha is a party returning to CONvergence in 2026. We're bringing our genuine miniature gachapon machines, each loaded up with badge ribbons, and running a mini party room! Stop by each day and try your luck at the machines; there will be at least 5 different badge ribbons available to collect - but rumor has it there are secret ribbons that the exceptionally lucky (or dedicated) can win.
What's a mini party room? Unlike a full-sized party suite at the end of the hallway, we'll be in a smaller room out towards the front. We won't be offering a hangout space, refreshments, etc. - just a dedicated space to call our own, but still grab-n-go style. Stop by, say hi, pick your lucky machine, and be on your way to the next fun thing!
How Does It Work?
- Stop by our party room - we'll have daytime hours each day of the convention
- We'll give you a token for the machines - playing is always free (and real coins would jam the machines)
- Put the token in the machine, turn the handle, and out pops a gacha capsule with a ribbon inside! Will you get a Common 1-Star, or the Super Super Rare 5-star?
- Collect your ribbon, return the capsule, and come back tomorrow to play again
- Want to play even more? We'll also give you a punch card full of daily and weekly missions to complete; receive bonus tokens for each one you finish!
Perks for Supporters
It wouldn't be a convention party fundraiser without perks, would it? In exchange for your support, we're happy to give you some badge ribbon perks!
- Gacha Goldfish: your $5 gets you an exclusive Gacha Addict ribbon not available in the machines, which grants you a free bonus play every day of the convention!
- Gacha Dolphin: your $10 gets you a legacy pack of last year's ribbons with our old designs on them. You will receive one of each ribbon that were in the machines last year. You also receive the exclusive Gacha Addict ribbon and a bonus play every day of the convention.
- Gacha Whale: your $15 gets you a full* set of this year's ribbons, including secret ribbons - everything except our new ultra-rare super-secret ribbon. You also receive the exclusive Gacha Addict ribbon and a bonus play every day of the convention.
- Gacha Leviathan: your $20 gets you everything - a legacy pack of last year's ribbons with the old designs, a full* set of this year's ribbons, including secret ribbons - everything except our new ultra-rare super-secret ribbon. You also receive the exclusive Gacha Addict ribbon and a bonus play every day of the convention.
What's the ultra-rare, super-secret ribbon? A special prize for our most dedicated players, and limited to only 100 for the weekend. To keep things fun for everyone, it's play-to-win only. For the lucky players who manage to claim one, we think you'll love it!
Purpose of Fundraiser
This fundraiser is to help offset the costs of our supplies - the ribbons, capsules, and machines. Last year, as a first-time mobile party, we went through approximately 1600 capsules; we're aiming for even more this year. We've purchased a 5th machine and 500 more capsules to help streamline our operation, and will be ordering thousands of ribbons to give away. As a newer room party, we also have some material costs for decor, tables, etc.
All supplies are already purchased or budgeted for. This fundraiser is only to offset our costs; the party is on regardless, but funds raised will help us keep the party going into the future! With your support, Badge Ribbon Gacha will continue to grow. Your support means fewer out-of-pocket expenses for our team, allowing us to invest in more supplies, decor, and future ideas.
