Namaste and Sat Nam. My name is Ananda Yogiji. I am a singer/songwriter in the genre of mantra music and devotional heart songs. I have been recording, touring, sharing music with my musical partner Jaya Lakshmi for 7+ years, primarily on the west coast of the USA and Hawaii. After many years in the works, it felt like the time to release my first solo studio album that represented my unique lyrical, musical and devotional expression. This new album will be a powerful blend of modern and ancient soundscapes that touches the heart and invokes a meditative and connected state. Infused with mantras in Sanskrit and Gurbani, this music offers blissful energy currents woven into lyrical heart songs. I sing, plays guitar, harmonium and bansuri flute.
The Cause...
I am launching this fundraiser for my first solo studio album called the "Flower of Life". I feel so inspired to make this album because I have seen the profound effects this music has on people in opening their hearts. It brings people so much joy, inspiration, devotion and connection to that Great Source of life. It will be a collection of perhaps my most well loved songs that mix English devotional poetry and mantras. Ultimately, what I would love is to see this music get out to as many people as possible and see it uplift, heal, inspire and invoke a profound state of connectedness to life, Spirit and Love.
A beautiful part in creating this album is that I recorded some of my most dear friends and inspirations in the mantra music world. Artists such as Prem and Jethro of Sacred Earth, Govind Das and Radha, Sukh Dev and Akahdahmah of Aykanna, Masood Ali Khan, Kevin James, Michael Stillwater, Gabriel Logan Braun, and Annmarie Soul. My long time musical partner Jaya Lakshmi is singing on many of the tracks as well. I also felt inspired to record some of my dear friends and inspirations in the Yoga teaching world. They have been such a huge support to me and it was so fun to get them to sing on this album. For some, it was their first time ever singing and being recorded on an album! So I was excited to record Kia Miller, Tommy Rosen and Sianna Sherman for their first studio recordings as well as Saul David Raye and Janet Stone. So much fun!
In addition this album is supported by the some highly talented musicians such as Ben Leinbach on drums, Shaun Ferguson who helped arrange the drums, Meghan Engel on violin and viola, Richard Cole on bass, Terre Lee on violin for the track Shivoham, Brent Keuker on bass for the track Breathe, and Ankush Vimawala on tabla.

Ultimately, this music is for the upliftment of humanity and as a community, you support what goes out into the world.
