Please help our friend pay for the cost of his father's burial.

Our friend recently lost his father and is facing a situation where he must take out a loan to pay for the funeral expenses. The deadline for this payment is Sunday 6/28. The minimum goal we are hoping to hit is $8000 but the overall expenses will be around $20,000. The average cost of a burial in the United States is $8300. This is not the kind of money that many people are freely able to spend. Please help lessen the weight of the debt he will face, as no one should have to go into debt to provide a suitable final send-off for their loved ones.

My involvement in this campaign is only as the campaign manager. The individual who is meant to receive the payments is the one with the account information connected to this account and he is also listed as a campaign manager. All donations go directly to him.

Edit 7/7: Thank you to those who have contributed. The deadline has been extended so the fundraiser is indefinite. Our friend has taken out a $20K loan to cover the expenses of the service and as a result, he is now buried in bills. Please help him reach our goal so that the burden is not quite so heavy.
