Hello, my name is Tenise, and I’m a full-time student building my future in design, technology, and human-centered problem solving.

I’ve always been someone who looks at how things work and how they could work better—not just visually, but in the way people actually experience them. That mindset is what led me to continue my education in Human-Computer Interaction at Iowa State University, where I’m currently pursuing a graduate certificate with plans to continue into a master’s degree.

This program is helping me take my passion for design and turn it into something more intentional—learning how to create experiences that are not just creative, but useful, accessible, and meaningful in people’s everyday lives.

Like many students, I’m working hard to invest in my future while navigating the financial realities that come with higher education. Unfortunately, because my current program is a graduate certificate, I don’t qualify for federal student loans. While I’m committed to covering what I can, I’m reaching out for support to help bridge the gap so I can stay on track.

As someone who has always pushed myself to keep growing, asking for help doesn’t come naturally. But I’ve learned that sometimes progress requires community, not just effort. This fundraiser is my way of making sure financial barriers don’t slow down the path I’ve worked so hard to build.
