My name is Zuzana and I never imagined I would ever have to ask strangers for help.
For years, I lived in a relationship marked by domestic abuse, fear, and financial control. When I finally found the courage to leave my ex-husband, I hoped the suffering would end. But today, I am still fighting the consequences of his actions, not mine.
🏠 We Finally Built a Safe Home… and Now We Might Lose It
After escaping the abusive relationship, I worked tirelessly to rebuild our lives.
I wanted my children to feel safe again, so I did everything I could to give them a real home.
We managed to buy a small house and I took out a mortgage to secure a better future for my family.
We were slowly improving it, step by step — creating a place where my children could finally feel safe, stable and loved.
But now everything is falling apart.

Because of financial problems caused by my ex-husband’s past business activities — debts I never created and never benefited from — the executor has frozen all my bank accounts, including the one used for paying our mortgage.
This means:
- I cannot finish repairs on the house
- I cannot pay the mortgage
- I cannot access basic funds for daily living

My children and I may soon be without a place to live, even though I have worked so hard to give them a safe future.
