🌿 “One Man’s Dream to Bring Life Back to the Albanian Mountains”
My name is Elton Bicaku, and I was born in a small Albanian town surrounded by the green mountains of Letëm, Librazhd — a place full of memories, but today, sadly, almost empty.
Most young people have left in search of work. The fields are quiet, the villages are fading, and many dreams have been buried with time.
But I still believe in this land.
And my dream is to bring it back to life — through a farm that can feed, employ, and inspire.
For the last 10 years, I have worked tirelessly — two full-time jobs abroad, saving every cent I could. I’ve built my life around this vision:
to return home and build Zeisa Farm — a modern, organic Alpine goat farm, where every drop of milk, every piece of cheese, tells the story of our Albanian mountains. 🐐⛰️
I am proud to say that I have already saved €100,000 — my entire life’s effort.
This covers a part of the dream: the first stage of construction, part of the barn, and the first herd of goats.
But to complete the full project — with proper infrastructure, cheese production rooms, cooling systems, and animal welfare facilities — I need €400,000 more.
This is not just a business. It’s a family and community dream.
The land I plan to build on belongs to my father — a piece of our history, inherited from my grandfather.
I want to transform it into something that will outlive us all — a place where tradition meets sustainability, where young Albanians can work proudly in their homeland instead of leaving it.
I know what it means to work hard.
For 10 years, I’ve been away from home, often exhausted, but never giving up.
Because this dream — this farm — is what keeps me going every day.
