I worked as a nanny for my friend Jennifer for 2 years.
She is a mum to two boys, aged 8 and 4, who she home schools.
She also looks after her husband, who has early onset Parkinsons.
She also works full time as a cook.
She also manages to spend time doing fun things with her kids, like playing rugby, Pokemon Go, riding bikes, growing a garden.

She also manages to make food from scratch at home every day, including sourdough bread, pizza dough, hand made sushi.
She also manages to generously carve out time with friends like me, when I know she has so little of it to give.
During the time I worked for (really - with) her and over the 15 or so years I have known her, she has shown me many things.
She is super smart.
She's hard working, ambitious, goal-oriented, and determined.
She takes what life hands her and runs into it with everything in her arsenal.
She never stops setting goals for herself - and achieving them - even against the odds.

It's time this woman got a break.

In October, Jen will start back at school, studying Chinese medicine.
She's receiving OSAP, but she's going to have to pay that back, so she is continuing to work part time while she studies.
While she looks after her kids and teaches them.
While she cares for her ailing husband with minimal external assistance.
While she selflessly dedicates herself to the needs of others.
While she brings joy into my life, personally, and into the lives of everyone who knows her.

I would love nothing more than to see Jennifer have the time to study exclusively without the pressure of needing to work on top of all her other obligations. I know that no matter what, she will succeed at everything she invests herself in. Please, let's invest in her so she can do it with less stress, less worry, one fewer thing on the list.
