I’m writing this with a heavy heart as my family and I are going through an incredibly difficult time. I’m a father of three young kids, all under 12, with my eldest turning 12 this year. My wife and I were both laid off from a plastic manufacturing company in April when the company switched to automation and let us and many others go.

Since then, it’s been a constant struggle. We’re living in a one-bedroom apartment, where rent and utilities come to $2,070 every month. Over the summer, I worked as a landscaper and managed to pay off some debts, but when winter arrived, work became scarce, and we’ve fallen behind on payments.

Our landlord has filed for eviction, and we now owe $12,420 to stay in our home. I’m doing everything I can to turn things around, but right now, I’m reaching out for help.
